From 5th January 2026, Allison Homes will begin major junction works where Belton Lane meets the A607, north of Manthorpe.

The project – linked to the Manthorpe Chase housing development – will install new traffic lights, drainage, and road widening to improve safety and manage increased traffic flow.

The works are expected to last around three months, with temporary three-way lights in place for much of that time and some short overnight closures towards the end for final resurfacing.

These works are developer-led, not County Council works, but carried out to LCC specification. Experience tells me these schemes can be disruptive – and not always as well managed as they should be.
