Grantham is the latest town to benefit from a significant upgrade to its public transport information as part of Lincolnshire County Council’s wider roll-out of real-time electronic bus displays across the county.

These new displays will make it easier for passengers to plan their journeys, providing live updates on bus arrival times and service information — all designed to make bus travel more reliable and accessible.

In Grantham, new real-time information (RTI) displays have been installed at key locations, including:

  • Finkin Street, High Street
  • Boots, St Peter’s Hill
  • Grantham Hospital (Main Entrance, Outpatients Entrance, and UTC Entrance) on Manthorpe Road

Each site now features a new “flag” display or a larger 32″ wall-mounted screen at the hospital entrances, helping patients, visitors, and residents stay informed about their bus services.

In addition, a new real-time information screen will shortly be installed at Grantham Bus Station, further enhancing the town’s transport hub and providing even better access to live journey updates.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways and transport at Lincolnshire County Council, said:

“It’s fantastic to see Grantham joining towns across Lincolnshire in benefiting from this investment. These real-time displays are a simple but essential step in making public transport more straightforward.

Whether you’re heading into town, visiting the hospital, or just trying to get home a little quicker, having live updates at your stop takes the guesswork out of bus travel.

We’re committed to supporting greener, more connected communities across Lincolnshire — and better, more reliable information for bus passengers is a key part of that.”

Installing these new displays in Grantham is part of a £5.9 million investment into Lincolnshire’s bus services, backed by government funding through the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).

More locations across the county are set to receive these upgrades over the coming months, reinforcing the County Council’s commitment to a modern, sustainable, and passenger-friendly transport network.
