The developers of Rectory Farm are looking to postpone the much anticpated upgrade of the A1/A52 junction claiming their development has experienced ‘slippage’ and therefore they want to vary the number of houses they are allowed to sell before they conduct the works.

Both National Highways and Lincolnshire Highways have now formally objected to this proposal
The road junctions of the A52 and A1 are imperative and if they do not go ahead someone will end up dying! When the new relief road does open there will be many more thousands of vehicles using these precarious junctions, which are at the moment very hazardous, let alone when the relief road opens.
Time and time again builders fail to complete on their ‘guaranteed’ proposals and this council should not let them get away from doing it. Please ensure the builders are not going to be let off making these junctions safe and also ensure the relevant infrastructure which they have promised also gets completed. Grantham town is heaving already.
